HellooOo I feel like there’s a lot of food that gets discussed here that isn’t available in Aus / NZ, so I figure we should chat about safe foods that we can access!
Here’s some of mine
- 7/11 Slurpee Zilched: the Pink Creamy Soda one is 3.3cal/100mL. Not as low cal as a diet coke, sure, but filling and the best flavour ever pls don’t fite me on this
- Chang’s lo-cal noodles (10 cal / 100g, available at Coles) is generally $2 cheaper than the Slendier shirataki noodles in the health food aisle. Slendier has more variety in noodle style ie. fettucine, angel hair etc but the texture is more... sproingy? cromchy? idk how to explain it
- Hart & Soul does a decent pho soup (32 cals). Don’t bother getting the pho + shirataki noodles version, they have like 5 strands of noodles >:(
- Keep It Cleaner has some shirataki noodle meals. I’ve tried Vegan Napoli (65cals) which is pretty decent, but I’m interested in trying the other flavours like pad thai (although they’re higher cals)
- Quorn. Um hello you sexy vegan minx where has it been all my life? I tried the cottage pie (177) which was GOOD, real real keen to try their mince (4 serves is only 285 perfect for omad)
- Skinny cow icecream sundaes (120). Yes we have overpriced Halo Top but I’m the type of person who eats through the whole package of something even if it’s more than 1 serving. These sundaes are individually packed which makes it easier for me.
- Harvest snaps (93/serve, 465 for bag) have a lot of cronch factor. I like to get the chilli flavour and add lite-salt to it since it’s pretty unsalty as it is compared to the original flavour.
- Musashi low carb mini protein bars (90). The choc fudge is tasty but not uber decadent enough to trigger my binges? Also doesn’t taste like artificial chalk like Quest bars loool. Yes they’re fairly small but the protein honestly keeps me full, and it’s got the best macros (real low on carbs). Shame they’re like $2.5 each >:(
- Fibre one bars (90). I’ve only seen the brownie and the salted caramel ones though. Yummy but again doesn’t trigger binges for me? Also lots of fibre so it makes me check myself before I want to commit to bingeing on them. Yummo when microwaves.

Sunbites popcorn mini packets - 62cal
Crispyfruits dried fruit packets - all generally under 40cal
Urban Pantry waffle biscuits - 33cal per biscuit
Weight Watchers pumpkin and ricotta cannelloni - 237cal
On the menu veggie lasagna -273cal
Woolies mini biscuit packets - 112-115cal
Woolies quinoa puffs - 62cal
Sanitarium unsweetened almond/coconut milk - 48cal per 250ml
Used to like microwaving the Kraft 97% fat free cheese slices (27cal each) but I can't find them any more..
Also the basics, mini cereal packets, halo top, Konjac rice/noodles, fish, cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers and zucchini (so expensive though!) and cauliflower rice. I had beetroot noodles from Woolies the other night I think I'm going to obsess over for a while. :)

Thank you! 💜 I'm saving this thread and plan to keep adding to it and hopefully make it a bit more organised.
I just got back from buying another packet of beetroot noodles but I'm not sure what to do with them yet. The other night I made it with capsicum, cauliflower, cabbage, carrot, eggplant and the Thai stir-fry shot sauce for 216cal. I halved it with my SO and they liked it - I'm always conscious of letting people see/try my food but it had enough flavour and was big enough to get away with, although I think the Vietnamese stir fry shot would be better. I'll do that next time until I can think of other meals that will look normal!

Zilch Vanilla Bean Ice cream - tastes just like the real thing - sugarfree, 3 carbs and only 84cals a serve and if you're feeling frisky and your macros allow it, if you add a tiny bit of Healtheries No Sugar Added baking bits (10g = 47cals for milk choc bits) it feels like you're eating a McFlurry.
Also the Atkins Chocolate Break bars.... Sin free kit kat

omg that Zilch mcflurry thing sounds,,, decadent....
Atkins in general is pretty good tho they can be too darned tasty and trigger a binge for me like whyyy
Just got Double D marshmallows today, have yet to try the fruit drops! I’m hoping they don’t give too much bloating/ laxative effect, not sure if u experienced anything like that?
Thanks for your suggestions and glad to help! 💛

I haven't had any laxative effect so far! But I do have to only keep a couple in my drawer at a time or I'd binge on the whole bag. TOTALLY get where you're coming from on that issue 😩
It's nice to meet fellow Oceania ED peeps ❤️

I'm so glad Zilched slurpees exist in summer but oh my god think twice before getting a larger size because you'll be pooping water for hours... unless that's your thing, because sometimes I'm not super bothered by it. Yay, laxative effect!

One of my treat foods is mini Oreos. You can but them in multipacks for kids lunches. One packet is 113 calories
Sunbites popcorn multipacks are 62 cal per bag
Smooze brand of frozen coconut yoghurt deserts (they are sold unfrozen on the shelf). The pink guava flavour is 65 cals each
Coco coconut rice rolls - in the Asian section. 450 cals for the entire bag. They are delicious. Another of my treat foods. I’ve never eaten an entire bag in one sitting. They are crunchy and sweet and seem to satisfy me before I need to binge the whole bag

Jelly lite brand of jelly. The vanilla berry flavour (as odd as it sounds) is my favourite. You can make it up and eat the entire packet and it’s 56 cal

Yes the little tubs mean I only eat one. Don’t be fooled by the hazelnut flavour - they are 129 per tub! (But still doable I guess)

Keep it cleaner pad Thai noodles are my favourite!
I often add steamed broccoli and some capsicum to it too to make it a bit more interesting but still fairly low cal

Mild. Now that you mention it I might try adding some Siracha next time.
It doesn’t taste 100% like pad Thai but still delicious.
I hated the Tom yum flavour. I thought it tasted disgusting.

Oh that’s disappointing :(
